FIELD NOTES

A RUNNING RECORD OF THE WORK.

Projects, decisions, observations, and ideas along the way. Some begin in the field. Some begin in the underwriting. Some begin with a question worth working through in public.

HOSPITALITY + BRAND  /  SEPTEMBER 2026

WHEN A CABIN DESIGN IS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE, WHAT BELONGS TO THE BRAND?

Repeatability can simplify development. But the harder question is what happens between the building and the place, and whether a hospitality brand can build loyalty without repeating the same architectural object from one geography to the next.

ARCHITECTURE + EXPERIENCE  /  SEPTEMBER 2026

THE SPACES AREN'T WAITING TO BE EXPERIENCED. THEY ALREADY ARE.

After years of designing and building a place, the work eventually becomes part of someone else’s weekend, morning routine, celebration, or escape. That changed how we asked Jennifer Hughes to photograph Será at Sandy Ridge: stay there, inhabit it, and let the images feel lived in.
